Fishing Report 2011
Over the years we have enjoyed some
incredible angling action.
This type of business is rewarding and very enjoyable as
we form friendships with guests that have returned many times
over the years. By
returning our guests give us the greatest compliment.
Fishing was stellar at all of our lakes
throughout the season.
Lake trout
at Andrew lake the early season were fantastic.
Forest fires raged around the lake for
most of the early season and came uncomfortably close.
Thank you to Alberta and NWT fire fighting crews for
protecting our lodges and camps.
At North and South Leland lakes as well
as Boquene lake, Pike and Walleye were
also hot through June & July.
Monster Lake trout and amazing Arctic
Grayling at Lynx lake provided a blast for all of those that
ventured to the Tundra.
The mid summer allowed opportunity for
some of our staff and crew to get and do some fishing and we had
the first annual Pilots Invitational fishing derby at North
Leland.
We enjoyed an
incredible fall with gorgeous weather and allowed us an easy
shutdown by October
9.
2011 saw many improvements and upgrades
to our camps.
Andrew Lake - The quad ramp was rebuilt
by Stan and crew.
Lynx Lake - Hank & Ken finished all 4
cabins and renovated the main lodge building interior.
Also added a new Yamaha quad as “Old Smokey” as passed
on.
North Leland - New Generator installed -
full electricity available, new fridges.
New dock installed by Jim and Dave.
New hot water tank house and cabin 2 deck rebuilt by
David Lee and crew.
South Leland - New dock, boat ramp and
new marine shed built by Jim, Dave and John.
Boquene Lake - Shower house built by Jim
and Dave.
A big thank you all of our pilots, staff
and work crews. Your
enthusiasm and contributions are appreciated.
We look forward to creating more excitement and long lasting
memories next fishing season.
